Every child can learn but not on the same day or in the same way. To support this point, Howard Gardner gave a theory of Multiple Intelligences. Getting inspired from his theory, the Innovative Methods of teaching have become the keys strengths of our school. Our teachers are excellent at using art and craft to make beautiful teaching aids that can help students to gain knowledge and experience the world in various ways. These involve teaching through Smartboards, PPTs and videos, learning in unconventional settings through excursions, picnics and virtual trips, learning through discussions and giving students ample space to enquire, observe, listen, find, reason, analyse, assimilate and whatnot. We promote divergent thinking and let students come up with varied solutions giving way to incidental learning. We encourage students to ponder scientifically, experiment, observe and report. Adaptive Teaching helps teachers cater to the needs of learners with different aptitudes.
Students always crave for change to break the monotony of classroom learning and this is where weekly classes come as a breather to them. Weekly classes are held for students of all age groups. These classes include Sports, Library, Computer, Story Telling, Dance, Music, Life Skills, Taekwondo, Clay Moulding, Art & Craft etc. These classes are held once or twice in a week depending upon the need of the age group.
Early childhood years are very crucial for a child’s cognitive, social, emotional, language and physical development so we ensure that every child gets motherly affection and attention at school. Every possible measure is taken to create a comfortable and loving environment for the toddlers of Pre-School and Pre-Primary. Rhymes and stories, crayons and toys, ball pool, see-saw and slides everything defines the essence of Kindergarten. Young students are gradually involved in activities which help them be independent with basic life skills such as eating lunch and sharing it with classmates, understanding their own biological needs and becoming more aware about their classroom, corridor, convenience room etc. They are introduced to colourful picture books and activities to improve pincer grip and facilitate steady hand-eye co-ordination.
Kindergarten literally means ‘Garden for Children’. In today’s ever evolving environment, it is very important for children to get introduced to the latest technology for steady growth, learning and development. To encourage physical activities in tiny tots, we organise Concept Races, Beach Party, Colour Days etc. Children are exposed to Information and Communication at an early age. The activity room is designed to make learning more fun filled and exciting. Students love this room as it has many toys and educational games. The curriculum is well planned and is based on various themes which allows students to learn via a plethora of activities. They pay frequent visits to the dance room and playground to accelerate their growth and help them build greater confidence. They celebrate each festival with complete zeal and learn to pay respect to Indian values, customs and culture.
