Our School Motto

Simple Living High Thinking

Habits a Student will develop

Habit 1 — Be Proactive

To be a responsible person, confident to take initiative, able to choose one’s actions, attitudes, and moods. Not to blame others for one’s own wrong actions. To always do the right thing without being asked, even when no one is looking.

Habit 2 — Begin With the End in Mind

To plan ahead and set goals. To do things that have meaning and make a difference.  To look for ways to be a good citizen.

Habit 3 — Put First Things First

Spend time on things that are most important. This means the student clearly says no to things that are inappropriate or wrong. To set priorities, make a schedule, and follow one’s plan. To be disciplined and organized.

Habit 4 — Think Win-Win

To balance courage for getting what he/she wants with consideration for what others want. To be empathetic and look for alternatives when conflicts arise.

Habit 5 — Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood

To listen to other people’s ideas and feelings. To try to see things from their prospective. To listen to others without interrupting. To be confident in voicing their ideas. To maintain eye contact while talking.

Habit 6 — Synergize

To value other people’s strengths and learn from them. To get along well with others, even people who are different from him/her. To work well in groups. To seek out other people’s ideas to solve problems. To always be humble.

Habit 7 — Sharpen the Saw

To take care of one’s body by eating right, exercising, and getting adequate sleep. To spend time with family and friends. To learn from every situation, not just at school. To find meaningful ways to help others.
